This was a mix I did of all the amazing hiphop-related things that happened in 2011 to close out the year. If you’re a big fan of the genre and the culture itself, I suggest you check it out.

Lasers came out that year, House of Balloons came out, T.I had to go back to prison, Take Care came out and let’s not forget Odd Future bursting onto the scene.

This verse is a bit of an autobiography of my rapping starting from when I first picked up the pen up until The Frost EP and what the future will bring.

In the city of Buenos Aires
Where decadence they admired
I picked up a pen for One Be Lo
And wrote my first rhyme on the low

And that was it, the urge to spit
Engulfed me, a glove that fit
When others didn't, too legit

Rhyme when I could, even in school
In Mass, skip class, head for the loo
Writing rhymes where others shit
I found a mic, I learned to mix
Dropped some songs, they were dissed

Hammering down my styles
As I showed them to my pals

I was closed, but the more I showed, they seemed to care
So I opened up and my shell disappeared
